POSITION: Sr. Business Analyst COMPANY: Emblemhealth LOCATION: 55 Water St. HOURS: DEPT: ------------ Description of Duties Posting Closing Date: 10/23/2009 * Liaise among stakeholders in order to elicit, analyze, communicate (documents) and validate requirements for changes to business processes and information systems * Facilitate JAD/JAR sessions * Inform and report to the Sr. Director any barriers, issues and risks that slow or prevent the successful accomplishment of project objectives * Work with business and IT partners to develop testing strategy, test plans and functional test cases while participating in the development and execution of user test plans to ensure that the system design meets the business needs * Partner with others within the Provider Network Management group to define and manage project scope and ensure understanding of the business objectives * Ensure all completed project deliverables are reviewed and approved by business stakeholders. * Work with the business areas on developing and documenting Business Cases, Feasibility Studies, and cost/Benefit analysis for projects * Perform a variety of oversight functions to ensure the successful completion of work performed by Business analysis resources who are engaged on cross-functional enterprise projects Knowledge Skills & Abilities: * Effective written and verbal communication skills * Demonstrated ability to build successful working relationships (internally and externally) * Project Management skills and abilities required * Ability to prioritize, follow-up and follow-through with timeliness and accuracy while remaining organized with a keen sense of detail * Ability to set deadlines and work within predetermined deadlines * Advanced knowledge of business analysis principles, practices, techniques and tools * Excellent analytical, problem solving, interpersonal and negotiation skills Requirements * Bachelors degree or equivalent education and/or experience required. * Minimum of five years professional business experience with a minimum of three years experience in a lead role in business systems analysis, including leading requirements gathering sessions, use case analysis, workflow and data flow modeling and software design * Possess or be actively working toward industry recognized business analysis and/or project management certification (IIBA, PMP, etc.) * Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite If you are interested and qualified, please e-mail your resume and job posting application to yhartung@emblemhealth.com Recruiter Yvonne Hartung Additional Info.
