Oracle DBA Job ID: GCSD05091039 Oracle DBA – Chantilly, VA - GCSD05091039 Description: Oracle DBA Job Code: GCSD05091039 Cyber Security Job Description: * We are currently recruiting for a mid level Oracle DBA with at least five years of Oracle database experience. * Perform ongoing assessment of database performance and identification of problem areas. * Perform database capacity planning related to database growth and system utilization, trend analysis and predicting future database resource requirements. * Perform and execute database backup and recovery procedures (RMAN). Qualifications: * Must have a Bachelors Degree in a related field with a minimum of 5 years work experience. * Must have 5 years of experience working with medium to large databases (Oracle 9i and 10g) in a UNIX and/or Windows environment, Perform Oracle install, upgrades, patching and other administrative core DBA functions. * Must have 5 years knowledge of database tuning and maintenance, experience in data modeling and database development and experience withUNIX Shell scripting when required. Preferred Additional Skills: * Working Knowledge of Oracle HA configurations such as Oracle RAC/Veritas HA and Data Guard will be a plus. * Strong SQL and PL/SQL skills. * Ability to work independently and cross-functionally in a team environment. * Customer oriented with excellent interpersonal and communication skills. This position requires the candidate to already possess an active Top Secret clearance and to maintain the clearance.
