Our Yardley, PA office is seeking a talented Senior Systems Engineer responsible for the installation, configuration, troubleshooting and maintenance of all computerized equipment including; but not limited to LAN/WAN, Windows 2003 Servers, SAN (storage area network), switches, routers, firewalls and any related software. Along with system maintenance, the Sr. Systems Engineer is responsible for all system documentation.
The primary goal of the Senior Systems Engineer is to ensure that all production systems and their related counterparts are running optimally. Responsibilities include: · Support for the purpose of achieving IT objectives · Perform other technical responsibilities as assigned by management · Carry pager or cell phone for 24x7 support. Pager rotated across the Networking and Infrastructure staff on a weekly basis.
College degree or combination of equivalent college and technical training/work experience · Cisco, Checkpoint and Microsoft MCSE Certifications desired · 8 – 10 years experience supporting 24x7 server environment
· Experience in pharmaceutical industry a plus · Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Active directory · Cisco routing experience · Strong Checkpoint firewall experience · EMC SAN (storage area network and Linux experience · Extensive server hardware/software configuration experience · Knowledge of Microsoft BackOffice Products (Exchange, IIS, ISA) · Microsoft clustering and network load balancing · Ability to perform multiple project tasks · Strong organizational skills · Ability to meet deadlines
