We are looking for a highly motivated individual to maintain, enhance, design, and support various aspects of the system, from database schema and loads to ETL processes (Java, Informatica, Perl) to OLAP processing.
The position involves possible exposure to many components of Risk-1, depending on the individual's skills and desire to learn.
Work with your Practice Area, other IDEAS teams, and users of Risk-1 to add new features and improve system performance and risk reporting in Risk-1.
The ideal candidate should possess 5 - 10 years of experience developing and supporting complex systems in a distributed environment. Hands-on experience with a combination of the following technologies is required:
- DB2/Relational Modeling
- Java
- Unix/Linux
- Experience with OLAP, Microsoft Analysis Services and reporting frameworks is a very strong plus
The following skills are also required:
- Strong understanding of Computer Science fundamentals and data structures
- Strong communication skills
- Desire to be exposed to a broad spectrum of technologies
- BS in Computer Science
Familiarity with the following technologies is a plus:
- Informatica
- Perl
- XML and schemas
- Web service frameworks and web programming (JSP, JavaScript, Ajax)
Experience/familiarity with Fixed Income products and risk reporting is a plus.
