Medical Sales Account Manager

Job Title: Medical Sales Account Manager Function: Sales Business Unit: Specialty Mat. & Converting NA Company: Specialty Tape Division State: New Jersey City: Monroe Twp. Relocation Available: No Key Job Responsibilities: This position will drive top line goals through the STD (Specialty Tape Division) Sales organization by maintaining and growing strategic and national accounts. This position is responsible for achieving optimum budgeted sales on a National, Global and/or Strategic level, consistent with budgeted profit and selling expenses. For the right candidate, this position offers flexibility to work from home and located anywhere within the US. Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to: . Responsible for all account activities related to the companys largest, most important client(s)/customer(s)(Medical OEMs, distributors, etc). . Call on named major accounts to cultivate relationships, identify opportunities and increase sales. Often coordinates the organizations entire sales efforts toward these customers. . Responsible for achieving optimum global, national or strategic sales consistent with budgeted profit and selling expenses. . Develop sales plans and budgets for achieving sales goals in conjunction with subordinate sales positions. . Implement value-enhancing service initiatives which will strengthen customer dependency. . Understand and communicate customer and end-user needs and wants. . Develop strong relationships with Sales Team and accounts. . Work with Marketing to plan and implement for all or some of the organizations product line national sales programs. . Provide product recommendations, samples, technical support, pricing and service information on demand. . Provide product quotes and actively utilize value-selling tools and skills. . Uncover and assess customer needs and develop and execute Value Proposition (Aligning Value). . Demonstrate products and/or services and provide assistance in the best application of product and/or services. . Creatively develop new applications for product lines. . Establish pricing programs and strategies. Secure optimum product positioning within target accounts. . Provide exceptional customer experience for business partners and prospects to develop long-term business opportunities. . Navigate complex problems and structures to determine the best solutions for customer needs. . Collaborate with other business units to evaluate volume, identify trends, ensure quality, and monitor budgets. **This is a sales position with strong medical device knowledge. Position Requirements: . 3 - 6 or more years related MEDICAL EXPERIENCE REQUIRED . Demonstrated successful experience in a business development position (medical device sales/product marketing) that involved negotiating complex transactions with upper-level management positions or similar experience required. . Thorough understanding of product and technical information (medical - ex. wound dressings, adhesives) REQUIRED . A MINIMUM OF 60%+ OVERNIGHT TRAVEL A MUST. . B2B (business to business) experience required. Also prior experience with managing programs/process within various departments within large organization such as marketing, R & D, supply chain, etc. . Skilled in developing sales penetration and growth strategies at targeted accounts. Proficient in assessing customer needs. . Excellent negotiation, financial, mathematical, and business acumen skills required(Prior experience working with margins and maybe even P & L) . Skilled in communicating effectively with all levels of management on complex business issues. . Skilled in preparing professional written proposals. . Project Management experience a plus . Excellent customer service skills is an absolute must. . Excellent oral, written and presentation skills a must. . Understanding of applicable computer systems, such as Microsoft Office, Lotus Notes, and function specific software. . Strong ability to work as part of a team. . Bachelors degree required *THIS IS A SALES POSITION WITH MEDICAL DEVICE KNOWLEDGE (NOT PLUG AND PLAY MEDICAL DEVICE BUT MEDICAL ADHESIVE/WOUND DRESSINGS DEVICES).
