The Business Development Director is responsible for new business development with large corporate accounts headquartered in the Northern New Jersey area. The Business Development Director identifies potential clients, develops an account entry strategy, conducts the prospecting campaign, develops relationships and understands the business/performance issues that contribute to the clients critical strategic business objectives. Responsibilities: Interested candidates will have the following attributes: ? Can quickly build strong personal rapport with prospects, customers, and internal team members ? Are driven, self sufficient and naturally competitive- loves to win? ? Can lead and motivate a team of resources who don t directly report to them ? Intuitively understand how decisions are made in the clients organization ? Have a natural curiosity for business and a passion for exceptional customer service. Qualifications: Qualifications include: ? Six to ten years of direct B2B sales experience calling on Fortune 1000 companies. ? Clear history of new business development by PROSPECTING and growing revenue in multiple accounts ? Understanding sales motivation, consumer marketing, and employee retention. ? Large volume sales experience ($250k plus per sale) ? Experience with broad range of sales cycles (three to six to twelve months) ? History of career stability with a maximum of three jobs in the last ten years ? Compensation derived through highly leveraged commissions and bonuses ? Four year college degree required, advanced degree a plus
