Research Associate Req Number: 3621 Department: CRI- Cardiac Surgery Research Schedule: Full-time Shift: Day shift Hours:  Job Details:  The Research Associate will be responsible for all administrative aspects of the cardiac surgery research program. The research associate will be responsible for recruitment and supervision of the cardiac surgery research staff including technical staff as well as MDs and/or PhDs. He/she will be responsible for oversight of the cardiac surgery research budget including interfacing with research finance with respect to NIH grant management as well as management of cardiac surgery SPF money directed to the laboratory. He/she will be responsible for supervision of all IACUC proposals submitted; will work with cardiac surgery staff in the development and submission of grant applications; and will oversee manuscripts and presentations developed by the cardiac surgery staff. PhD or equivalent doctoral degree in a related field required. Supervisory experience preferred.
