WHAT ARE THE RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE POSITION?  * Effectively facilitate the activities of an STD claim processing unit * Ensure accurate and timely service in keeping with the planholder's expectations * Communicate specific goals and objectives to staff * Demonstrate commitment to Hartford Life core values (Integrity, Teamwork, Innovation and Recognition) through interactions with staff * Identify and develop candidates for advancement in the organization * Ensure customer satisfaction for both internal and external customers by ensuring that all staff are providing courteous and knowledgeable service * Build and maintain positive relationships with policyholders, brokers, Sales and Underwriting * Monitor compliance with legal and statutory processes/practices * Ensure consistent and equitable administration of HR policies * Manage claim costs by ensuring compliance with claim management practices WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR? * College degree and/or experience equivalent * Experience in disability and/or Worker's Compensation Insurance Claims environment * Supervisory experience a plus * Ability to communicate complex information in a mentoring/training situation * Ability to recognize and analyze trends and recommend solutions or ways to take advantage of opportunity * Ability to organize work and manage multiple projects * Thorough knowledge of claim procedures and contracts WHAT ELSE CAN YOU TELL ME ABOUT WORKING AT THE HARTFORD?
