We are located at: 11th and Market Streets, Wilmington, DE 19801 House Front Desk Agent- Hotel DuPont Front Desk Agents are responsible for assisting Hotel guests efficiently, courteously and professionally in all front desk related functions, including check-in, check-out, guest requests and cashier functions. Ability to maintain a high-standard of service and hospitality at all times. Maintain cash bank and properly records daily cash transactions. Knowledge of all safety and emergency procedures and how to act upon them. Additional responsibilties include: * Creating positive guest experiences and memories * Functioning as hotel operator in his/her absence, including answering outside and in-house phone calls, setting and placing wake up calls, sending and receiving faxes, as well as billing for faxes sent and received * Functioning as reservations agent as needed; facilitating reservations for other areas of the hotel (restaurant, banquet, theatre) as needed. * Functioning as coat check person as needed. * Supporting and promoting DuPont. * Ensuring guest requests are met, billing instrutions are followed, and valid method of payment established. Qualifications Minimum Requirements * High School Diploma or GED equivalent * Previous cashiering and cash handling experience. * Demonstrated knowledge of math such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, percentages, etc. * Demonstrated ability to communicate orally and in written form. * Demonstrated ability to self-manage and make decisions. * Demonstrated ability to solve problems and resolve guests issues. * Demonstrated ability to organize and prioritize tasks and timelines. * Demonstrated ability to interact with co-workers / customers / guests and be customer focused (customers would include corporate mangement, dignitaries and government officials. * Demonstrated ability to work as a team player. * Demonstrated ability to utilize computer systems and software application (Opera). * Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced environment with focus on quality and safety. * Strong listening skills * Strong interpersonal skills with a "guest first" mentality. Additional Information: * Must be available to work evenings, weekends and holidays. * Position requires long periods of standing.
