Requisition Number 09-0690 Post Date 10/9/2009 Title PSS Inventory Control Specialist City Fairfield State NJ Description PRIMARY FUNCTION: The Inventory Control Specialist is responsible for complete inventory integrity at the branch location. In addition, they will act as a liaison between the branch and the Supply Chain Inventory Management Team to ensure that inventory levels remain accurate. PRE-EMPLOYMENT REQUIREMENTS: The Inventory Control Specialist will have one year of previous experience in a distribution center or warehouse atmosphere, including receiving, shipping, customer service, and purchasing with a history of independent work and self-motivation. A High School Diploma or G.E.D. is required. College degree or relevant experience preferred. PREFERRED OFFICE/MACHINE EQUIPMENT EXPERIENCE: Proficient with PC; Software to include: Word and Excel. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: The main responsibilities of the Inventory Control Specialist are: ? Act as a liaison between the branch and the Supply Chain Inventory Management Team. (Centralized Purchasing) ? Ensure complete inventory integrity and compliance. ? Securing the inventory and area by not allowing access to unauthorized personnel. ? Complete daily cycle counting process and daily bin verification process. ? Monitor all adjustments made to inventory during Cycle Counting, the Wave Pick or for other reasons. ? Communicate with suppliers to obtain return goods authorizations (RGAs) or credit memos to resolve receiving discrepancies due to mis-shipment, shortage or damage. ? Work with Accounts Payable coordinator, planner/buyer to resolve receiving discrepancies and ensure credits are received and forwarded to Field Support. ? Assist the daily processes of the receiving department. ? Ensure that all items are received and stocked properly following Inventory Management SOP. ? Submit Vendor Charge Back forms for items that have been short-shipped and incorrectly billed and maintain the VCB log. ? Run the Daily Open Sales Order Report to account for orders printed and not invoiced. ? Run the RDN report and resolve daily. ? Run Negative On-Hand Report and Backorder with On-Hand Report daily and reconcile counts as needed. ? Set up new item bin locations and maintain bin locations by velocity. ? Facilitate branch preparation and execution of quarterly inventory. ? Must maintain a good attendance record. NON-ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: ? Any other job related tasks as assigned.
