Responsible for the global marketing functions for the Animal Pharmaceutical Division Responsible for the development of the divisional strategic marketing plan 5 years establish procedures and policies for the global marketing group direct and administer personnel and their activities to achieve the strategic marketing objectives sales and profit growth targets for the Division The essential duties of the Director Global Marketing are Develop the Animal Health Strategic marketing plans to ensure the marketing objectives are achieved along with the sales and growth profit targets for the Division To establish regional marketing plans and ensure their implementation To establish Pre launch plans and commercialization strategies for the successful launch of new products To keep divisional and corporate management informed on the status and outlook for the Animal Health business performance To provide creative leadership and direction to the marketing group in order to meet divisional and corporate strategies Coordinate the Divisional Budgeting and Forecasting activities to ensure the business remains on target and is able to provide early warnings to the corporation on potential issues that could negatively impact the Division s ability to meet its sales and profit growth targets The responsibilities of the Director Global Marketing are Budgeting Operating Profit and Loss Organizes hires directs the personnel of the Global Marketing group to achieve the Animal Pharmaceutical Divisions sales and operating profit goals Develops and implements the long and short range strategic marketing plans for the Division as well as the individual regions in accordance to achieve the Animal Pharmaceutical Division objectives Responsible for establishing managing departmental budget Marketing Plans Develops and prepares annual marketing regional plans 1 2 years for Alpharma s products sales targets profit goals expense budgets strategies and other communication support activities for the respective regions within the division Responsible for working with the Business Development Department R and D group and Sales teams to develop the marketing plans and introductions of new products to achieve profitable growth and respectable market shares Analyzes sales trends industry trends changing market conditions and economic situations to react to these conditions adapting and revising plans as necessary to ensure profitable operations Operations Responsible for implementing and maintaining departmental operating policies in accordance with company standards and all government regulations Collaborates with Finance and Sales in setting operational policies and generating appropriate reports Advises other departments for changes in forecasts and plans affecting production inventory regulatory and R D Performance Evaluations Training and Career Development Plans Responsible for the development of the personnel and in coordination with the Human Resource department establishes a training program Set the departmental goals and standards of performance and evaluates the direct reports Assist Human Resources in developing appropriate training programs and career planning for the region New Product Opportunities Collaborates with R D and New Business Development on the development and outlook for new product and business opportunities within the Animal Pharmaceutical Division Essential Skills To perform this job successfully an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge skill and or ability required Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions A life sciences degree BA BS is required and an advanced degree is beneficial Extensive knowledge of livestock and poultry industry on a Global Basis 10 years of experience Strong organizational and management skills Strong working knowledge of computers and various software programs Must be able to work independently and in a team environment Must be proactive and organized Must be able to utilize informational resources Have excellent oral and written communication skills Must be able to interact with all levels of management Knowledge of a foreign language speaking reading is desirable Willingness to travel Back to top Please refer to job code AHNJ09-11 when responding to this ad.
