SUMMARY OF POSITION This position will provide data management and analytical support to the VP of US Consumer Credit Risk Management by compiling, preparing, and analyzing the credit demographics of the BPNA, E-Loan and any remaining PFH portfolios (Consumer and Mortgage). Other risk initiatives will include assisting with the preparation of special reports and ad hoc requests requested by Senior Management. This role involves working closely with Corporate Credit Risk Management, as well as other departments within BPPR and BPNA. This position will require interaction with the various servicers managing each of these portfolios to ensure data integrity and accurate information. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS Describe the essential responsibilities of this position in order of importance. ? Obtain monthly data for the Consumer and Mortgage portfolios (including delinquencies, foreclosures, bankruptcies and losses). ? Assist in the preparation of Quarterly Y-9 Financial reports. ? Gather data from credit information sources including: Business Objects (BIC), Metavante, PCFS (SBA), One Point (credit analysis), BI Portal and BPNAs Commercial Loan Pipeline. ? Create, run, and modify monthly, weekly, and ad hoc reports using available credit applications. ? Use information gleaned from reports to profile the risk in the portfolio(s) and prepare reports to identify areas of concern for the bank. ? Factor market changes and trends into the analysis to identify existing risk and potential future exposure in these portfolios. ? Dissect gathered data according to business practices and procedures, while maintaining its integrity, to accomplish the most complete and accurate up-to-date evaluation of trends and risks in the portfolio. ? Provide Credit Risk management with all analyzed data for further review and evaluation. ? Work closely with BPNAs Corporate Credit Risk Manager on reporting and special projects involving the Banks credit risk and credit administration areas. ? Monitor various credit databases to ensure high data quality. ? Collaborate with Information Technology Group, Metavante, PCFS, and other vendors to ensure smooth and accurate dissemination of information. ? Participate in upgrades/modifications to credit software applications, as well as implementation of new applications. ? Contribute to reconfiguration and development of existing software to accommodate the needs of the credit area of the bank. ? Troubleshoot user software problems that require a combination of computer and credit knowledge. ? Contribute to training of users on system functionality, features, and enhancements of new and existing applications. ? Identify ways to maximize technology to improve efficiencies in the credit area and maximize the banks return on investment. QUALIFICATIONS Education/Experience ? Associates Degree or college coursework. ? Minimum of 5 years related work experience. Additional Requirements/Skills ? Strong aptitude for understanding and analyzing massive amount of data. ? Thorough understanding of fundamental loan risk rating systems. ? Understanding of financial data in the context of credit itself. ? Ability to identify risk patterns and actual risk of what is being assessed. ? Excellent knowledge of credit software applications including: Business Objects (BIC), Metavante, PCFS, One Point, and BI Portal. ? Capability to learn quickly and achieve proficiency in new software applications as needed. ? Understanding of bank products, services, departments, systems, processes, procedures, and policies. ? Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously, managing time and resources to ensure that work is completed accurately and efficiently within the established timeframe. ? Excellent critical thinking, analytical and problem-solving skills. ? Effective follow-up skills. ? Ability to establish and maintain effective work relationships both, internally and externally. ? Effective oral and written communication skills. ? Outstanding organizational skills. ? Ability to work independently. ? Strong fluency in Microsoft Office Suite; including expert knowledge of Excel.
