Position Ambulatory Billing Representative - Quality Enhancement Location Women and Childrens Hospital Department 10720 - CHOB Labor and Delivery Recruiter Michelle Sprague Union/Non-Union Union Shift Days Scheduled Work Hours 7:00am-3:00pm Status Part Time Bi-Weekly Hours 37.5 Grade C6 Auto req ID 16563BR Job Description *REPOSTED* Under the direction of the assigned Site Supervisor or Manager perform activities to ensure timely and accurate posting and abstracting of patient charges and data entry functions related to front-end failures that hinder our ability to secure reimbursement. Minimum or Preferred Qualifications *REPOSTED* High School Diploma required. Associates Degree preferred in Business or health related field. Two years of charge posting and abstracting experience preferably in a hospital outpatient environment or equivalent combination of education and experience. Must pass data entry & clerical skills testing. Knowledge of medical terminology and anatomy. Knowledge of ICD-9CM and CPT-4 coding. Ability to calculate figures such as discounts, interest, and percentages accurately. Advanced skill in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel. Working knowledge of department specific patient accounting systems.
