RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:
Develop global standards and guidelines for style and content on the corporate site through collaboration with stakeholders, including but not limited to Office of the President, Customer Affairs, Marketing, IS and Corporate Communications Develop and implement action plans for monitoring, improving and updating the quality of service and performance of PGWs web site including but not limited to design of company web pages, graphics, animation, functionality, etc.
Develop and manage web pages/hyperlinks to ensure all information is appropriately updated in each data source linked to the site.
Provide focus for keeping web information fresh, organized and linked to appropriate page environments and resources by staying closely linked with content providers.
Monitor website traffic, analyzes uses, generate ideas and recommend possible web content for marketing strategies and tactics to meet business objectives.
Provide a single point-of-contact (email address) for customers to report broken link images, page lead errors, etc. Defines parameters for page design graphics, photos and text; designs navigational features that make content easily accessible.
Assists in formulating a marketing strategy for the corporate web site.
Performs other special projects and assignments as requested.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Associates Degree in Graphic Design, Computer Science or other related field of study or Certification in Webpage Design.
One to three years of full time experience designing and maintaining corporate web sites with demonstrated ability to execute editorial prudence and processes and web best practices.
Must have working knowledge of WYSI/WYG editors, Civic Plus Content Management System and be proficient in the use of Photoshop and Microsoft Office.
Must be an effective verbal and written communicator with the ability to make independent judgments which have critical impacts on the production of major projects meant to enhance PGWs public image.
Must have interpersonal and negotiating skills with the ability to build long-term constructive and cooperative working relationships with co-workers, vendors, management and outside agencies.
Must have knowledge of HTML with the ability to hand code pages and ability to perform cross browser compatibility testing.
Must be experienced in web-specific advertising and marketing techniques with the ability to design, conceptualize and assemble exceptional on-line content.
Must have written communication skills with the ability to effectively convey information for targeted readers and mixed audiences.
Must have organizational and project management skills with the ability to multi-task and meet deadlines under pressure while producing high quality results on short notice.
Must provide a portfolio of recent work including but not limited to, detailing web site design, web content, customer service improvements and navigation tools.
Equivalent combination of education and experience may be acceptable in lieu of degree.
