Consisting of three placements over the first two years, to include a period of at least 3 months working and living overseas - followed by a 12 month capability consolidation role - the program will give you exposure to different parts of Operations. Wherever you go and whatever you do, our roles carry real responsibility and there will be excellent opportunities to develop your professional skills, and a chance to work towards relevant professional qualifications. We will continuously support your development as a leader through coaching, mentoring and your participation in an international Operations Graduate network within AstraZeneca. Performance will be assessed throughout ? with progression toll gates built in at the end of each year. Placements start in September 2010 and will be based at one of our Global AstraZeneca sites in Europe, USA, or China. Responsibilities for the roles within the placements may include, but are not limited to the following: ? Understanding, communicating and managing demand and supply plans: potentially between customers, distribution networks, sites or regions; ? Participate in a variety of lifecycle management and improvement projects to broaden knowledge and experience of AstraZenecas supply chains; ? Analysis of data (demand, supply, metrics) and producing clear management proposals to improve supply chain performance; ? Ensure excellent customer service to designated customers from the responsible supply site; ? Identify and facilitate improvement activities to have a positive cost and lead-time impact on the global supply chain; ? Review and evaluate safety stock levels, minimum order quantities, supplier and QA lead times on a regular basis to identify continuous improvement opportunities including but not limited to inventory reductions ? Coordination and execution of stock replenishment activities and management of inventory levels ensuring sufficient stocking levels nationwide Qualifications So what does it take? First and foremost, we re looking for people who can quickly understand the Operations environment. In addition, its crucial you have strong business acumen, plus the ability to lead teams as well as delivering operational strategies through suppliers and delivering for our customers. A degree in a relevant discipline and a valid passport are essential. You will also need to be geographically mobile and be comfortable spending time working and living overseas. Minimum Qualifications: ? Minimum requirement of a Bachelors degree in Supply Chain, Business Logistics or other relevant business focus that specializes in supply chain management ? GPA of 3.0 or higher Preferred Qualifications: ? Demonstrated Leadership experience in work, education or organizational membership experiences ? ? This program is designed for entry level experience and candidates preferred for these positions have 0-to-3 years of work experience. ? As we are a Global organization, you will also need to be fluent in English. Additional language skills are desirable, especially Mandarin or Chinese, Swedish or another European language.
