General DescriptionsChristiana Care currently has an opportunity for an experienced RN to work in the Weekend Incentive Program in the Medical ICU at Christiana Hospital. RNs can expect flexibility in scheduling by working only 3 out of 4 weekends a month while receiving premium pay and excellent benefits. The Medical Intensive Care Unit is a new 20 bed medical teaching, adult ICU for critically ill patients experiencing life threatening medical conditions such as sepsis, respiratory failure, post cardiac arrest, and multisystem failure. Services provided include a variety of advanced respiratory modalities, hemodynamic monitoring, arrhythmia management, CRRT, and pharmacological support.The all RN staff are ACLS certified, members of the hospital Code Blue Team, and also function as the hospital STAT Nurse, taking critical care as needed to other hospitalized patients outside the ICU. All staff participate in self-scheduling and self-direction of the MICU Team. Qualified candidates will have a minimum of two years of recent ICU/Critical care experience.
