Diabetes Instructor Department: Diabetes Center Schedule: Regular Part-time Shift: Rotating - Day/Evening Hours:  Job Details: - Bachelors Degree Preferred - Certified Diabetes Educator (C.D.E.) - CPR - Registered Dietitian (RD) - 1-2 yrs experience required The Diabetes Center is currently seeking a Diabetes Educator, RD, LDN, for its outpatient diabetes education program. The educator will be responsible for individual and group teaching, regulatory and qualify reporting requirements, and the coordination of the other Diabetes Center activities and services. The educator works in a collaborative management structure with a Department Director, Inpatient Diabetes Educator, Financial Coordinator, and MedStar Program Coordinator. The educator is closely involved with operations, clinical management and the strategic direction of the Diabetes Center.  Requirements:Registered Dietitian licensed in the state of Maryland with prior outpatient experience in providing diabetes education, medical nutrition therapy for type 1, type 2 and gestational diabetes is required. CPR certification required.
