Senior QA Engineer/Analyst Tracking Code 101511 Job Description POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES In support of the Blackboard SDLC, the QA analysts confers with their teams product analyst and lead software engineer to provide scheduling estimates for testing the new feature set.a Throughout development, the senior QA analysts write and update test cases, plan functional testing and create test data.aa Each of these tasks requires coordinating with the teamed product analyst and software engineers.a Additionally, senior QA analysts meet with internal and external clients in an effort to better understand how a feature will be used.a Full-tilt functional and regression testing is performed by a distinct group; the senior QA analyst supports testing by reviewing and assisting to prioritizes the bugs returned from testing. Ultimately, the senior QA analyst works to ensure that the product meets specified requirements, working as an integral member on an agile team consisting of the QA analysts alongside product analysts, architects and engineers.a Effective communication and collaboration is essential to an analysts success. The essential duties and responsibilities for this position include:

* Developing effective test cases in accordance with Bb processes * Developing a detailed understanding of how and why clients use the application * Helping ensure overall product quality * Effectively collaborating and communicating with others * Becoming an expert her/his product features/functionality * Creating and managing testing schedule * Providing coaching and assistance to junior QA Analysts a Required Experience PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS

* Experience with a SDLC * Excellent writing and communication skills * Strong analytic skills * Familiarity with issue tracking, testing techniques and operating systems * Must have 2-3 years experience of testing, debugging or coding software for web based applications in a client-facing capacity * Familiarity with automated testing and techniques a plus a Job Location Washington, DC, US.
