The Opportunity This person will help to execute all aspects of Gallup.com content, with specific focus on the growing area of well-being. Specifically, this person will be responsible for: . Generating ideas for stories and additional online content . Reviewing and editing stories in the well-being area . Understanding and highlighting data nuggets that can be turned into standalone graphs/interactives . Identifying and reaching out to potential audiences for well-being content . Orchestrating several work streams simultaneously . Working with the managing news editor to ensure an overall robust story schedule for Gallup.com . Managing the Gallup.com home page and editorial schedule in the absence of managing news editor . Partnering with technical project managers to translate editorial goals into technology enhancements . Overseeing video content for the site . Leading social media and other efforts to grow the Gallup.com audience A strong journalism background is required as well as writing and editing experience. An interest and understanding of current events is preferred as well as experience with multimedia and Web technology. A bachelor's degree is required; a master's degree is preferred.
