Flavor and Fragrances Compounding Technician: In this position, the candidate will work as a team member in all aspects of the compounding facility including Flavor and Fragrance compounding, shipping, receiving and minor maintenance. Works with others to achieves factory business objectives of safety, environmental, quality, productivity and cost. Primary responsibilities will include downloading batch information from SAP computer system, consistently making all flavors and fragrances batches of high quality and according to all specifications, packaging the flavors & fragrances to meet global customers expectations. Accountabilities of the job will also include safety compliance, data collection, housekeeping, problem solving and continuous improvement as part of work team. Specific responsibilities include: * Locating and pulling raw materials for batch use. * Weighing Raw Materials in accordance to the Batch sheet & procedures. * Compounding products in accordance to SOPs. * Accurately maintaining all documentation. * Housekeeping and Material Handling. * Confirm in-house availability of raw materials for current and next runs. Seek and understand schedule and demand plans. Coordinate with upstream and downstream processes by working with others in receiving, shipping, material replenishment to ensure availability of materials. Qualifications Required Qualifications: * High school diploma or equivalent * Ability to adhere to all safety standards and wear and utilize all personal protective equipment * Ability to perform regular housekeeping and maintain general cleanliness in work area * Ability to adhere to all quality procedures and standards in the big batch, small batch and the shipping/receiving areas. * Ability to move drums of raw materials weighing up to 50 lbs Preferred Qualifications: * Vocational or Technical Degree * One year work experience in a manufacturing, production or operation environment * Experience operating forklift * At least one year of experience with any or all of the following: -FDA regulated environment, minimum safe behaviors, utilizing safety checklists,OSHA standards -performing quality checks or audits in manufacturing processes -using Continuous Improvement Tools -training others -being responsible for knowing and achieving production goals -conducting team or workgroup meetings -preparing production or other reports -applying problem solving tools or techniques -using the production, planning or other module in SAP -collaborating with co-workers on decision-making exercises -using Microsoft Office Organization : Colgate-Palmolive Global/North America Function : Manufacturing and Supply Chain Primary Location : US-NJ-Burlington Number of Openings : 1 Job Type : Experienced Job Level : Individual Contributor Schedule : Full-time Shift : Day Job Overtime Status : Non-exempt Travel : No Company Car : No Relocation Eligible : No Posting End Date : Nov 12, 2009 Company Statement Colgate-Palmolive is a leading global consumer products company, tightly focused on Oral Care, Personal Care, Home Care, and Pet Nutrition.
