Nutrition Resource Educator

Cornell Cooperative Extension of Schuyler County (Montour Falls, NY) is searching for a part time Nutrition Resource Educator.  This person provides leadership for the development, marketing, delivery and evaluation of the Nutrition Education and Food Safety Education programs in Schuyler County, including the supervision of staff and management of resources.

The position is part of the associations management team.  Participation in system-wide initiatives and applied research projects is expected.

Qualifications

Masters Degree plus related experience required.  Two years of experience in nutritional sciences or related health field preferred.  Demonstrated ability to initiate, plan, organize, market, implement, teach, and evaluate non-formal educational programs for diverse audiences.  Demonstrated ability to supervise staff and work effectively with individuals, teams, and institutional partners and volunteers.  Analytical and electronic skills commensurate with the duties of the position.  Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively through oral, written, and visual channels using traditional tools as well as electronic technology.

Coursework in education and management experience highly preferred.  Registered Dietitian (RD) or certified dietitian-nutritionist (CDN) preferred.  Knowledge of applied research principles, methods and applications.
