Our client, the nation's leading provider of political technology software and consulting vehicles is looking for a Controller in their downtown Washington, DC headquarters. The position can pay between $80-100K in addition to a 10% bonus. The ideal candidate will an entrepreneurial minded accountant who has strong technical accounting skills, possess a CPA, public accounting experience, and is ready for that next step in their career. This role is a great opportunity for a forward-thinking individual who has an interest in working in downtown DC and running an accounting department with little guidance. This is a very high visibility role within the organization with significant interaction to the organization's sales force and involvement in contracts and analysis. The Company has been in business for over 20 years with multiple business units. They are seeking a Controller to manage a small team and manage all accounting activities. Individual will be responsible for: - Managing the day to day accounting operations - Financial reporting and treasury functions - Development of accounting standards and procedures to assure uniform accounting practices - Enhancement of narratives over internal controls - Ensuring compliance with GAAP Requirements: . BS/BA in Accounting . 5+ years experience in a public accounting role or a mix of public and private accounting experience. . CPA . Experience automating accounting processes & system implementations . Managed & coordinated outside auditors, or led audit engagements .
