Controller

The position is located in DC and can pay $80-100K in addition to a 10% bonus. The CFO is looking for someone to come in and run their accounting department with little guidance. The Controller will manage 2 people and must have great attention to detail because s/he will be exposed to a lot of different contracts within the organization. Candidate must also be familiar with revenue recognition but the CFO will handle the majority of the reporting.  Description: Our client is seeking a Controller to manage a small team and manage all accounting activities. Qualified candidate will be responsible for managing the day to day accounting operations, financial reporting and treasury functions. Additionally the Controller will develop accounting standards and procedures to assure uniform accounting practices, solid internal controls and compliance with GAAP. This position reports directly to the CFO.  Requirements : .    BS/BA in Accounting .    Minimum of 6 years experience (2 in a management role) .    CPA .    Prior experience as a Controller of a company with revenues than $15M .    Experience automating accounting processes & system implementations .    Managed & coordinated outside auditors .    Experience with Solomon a significant + but not required
