Publishing Art Director, DEPATURES Magazine AutoReqId 118382BR Responsibilities Design page layouts from comps to finished InDesign files. Create front-of-book layouts, special sections, and follow-through pages. Work closely with Design Director and Editor-in-Chief to translate the evolving attitude and character of the magazine into design. Assist in trafficking and correcting color. Required Qualifications Minimum 5-7 years graphic design experience at a consumer magazine as well as experience working with and hiring illustrators. Strong proficiency in InDesign and Adobe Photoshop; working knowledge of Adobe Illustrator. Strong visual vocabulary and sensibility. Ability to work toward exacting standards in a small department where each person is integral to the process. Strong typographic skills and proficiency in color correction. Organized and detail-oriented, able to work on multiple projects under deadline pressure.
