Title: RECEPTIONIST/OFFICE ADMINISTRATOR 1 Location: VA-Arlington Duties and Responsibilities: Perform a variety of routine security, clerical, receptionist and switchboard operator duties. Check visually for employee identification badges for all personnel entering a facility. Authorize access and issue appropriate badges to employees, visitors, customers and non-regular workers; assure proper escort as needed. Answer, screen, route or make telephone calls to assist customers, visitors, and employees. Act as a focal point for site information and other site specific activities as required. Maintain all logs, registers and files in compliance with corporate and site security policies and procedures. Assist with other security and facility duties such as monitoring closed circuit TV panels and filing badge record cards. Update lists of frequently called individuals and locations, keeping that information posted near reception area. Answer and respond to service requests from building occupants via database to building engineers and follow-up to ensure request is completed to satisfaction of requestor. Responsible for contacting various venders regarding service and/or maintenance needs. Examples of vendors are as follows: Office Depot (coffee/pantry supplies), Tropical Xpress(office and common area plants), Kleen Livin (conference center cleaning service), Iron Mountain (Shredding Bins) and others. Receive packages from delivery services, log and maintain logs of those packages. Contact recipients and monitor the distribution of packages and locking up items not picked up by the end of the day. Assist, as needed in various duties associated with business card orders, parking, building emergencies, moving office furniture and equipment. As needed, work in mailroom handling all aspects of that position. May act as facility manager's assistant when needed. Required Qualifications: 1. Dependable and courteous 2. Able to obtain a secret clearance 3. Ability to change work hours occasionally as duties require. 4. Basic computer skills required for e-mail, database entry, Word and Excel. 5. Ability to read and speak English clearly and fluently 6. Flexible and willing to take over other job duties when required.7. Requires high school diploma or equivalent, and four to five years in receptionist/administrative type positionnull
