Junior Engineer

Title: Junior Engineer Location: DC Metro Area Req Number: AES16166 Position Description: Assist the lead engineer in conducting the following activities: review and comment on evolving policies and processes related to the government program supported; review government system documentation for consistency with government policy/requirements and industry best practice; assist with system assessments that include testing and audit/compliance data gathering interviews and discovery; write assessment and audiVcompliance reports ; review system interconnection documentation to evaluate risk to existing systems or the government enterprise represented by new connectivity. Experience Requirements: Excellent organizational skills are a must. The successful applicant will be professional, self-motivated, personable and easy-going. Attention to detail, accuracy in all aspects of work, timeliness and reliability are also key qualities of the successful applicant. Familiarity with the MS Office suite is a must. Ability to follow directions accurately is very important. Tenacity and follow-through is required in the environment where multiple projects are being managed simultaneously. Written and oral communications skills are essential. Ability to capture assignments and track them to completion is important. The applicant must be a quick study and fast learner, who is sensitive to quick-changing group dynamics.
