Responsibilities Students will be working under the guidance of senior business managers in entry-level positions that will provide a wide range of experience and responsibilities in the following areas: * Transactional accounting (such as: payroll, accounts payable, accounts receivable) * Operation of our job cost control system * Purchasing * Contracts and subcontracts administration May also be exposed to the following: * Implementation of union agreements * Employment law and labor compliance * Environmental compliance Qualifications * Student must be working towards a Business Management, Accounting, Administration and/or Finance degree or diploma. * Excellent working knowledge of computers and experience with the use of Microsoft Excel, Word and Access. * Effective oral and written communication skills. * Strong organization/time management skills. * Good attention to detail with the ability to recognize discrepancies. * Work independently as well as part of a team. * Must be able to meet deadlines and put in the time needed to get the job done. * Must be flexible with work locations Equal Employment Opportunity Kiewit is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
