Federal Government Account Manager The Cisco/Tidal Account Manager is responsible for representing our industry leading Datacenter Automation and Performance Management Solutions to Federal Government Agencies within Washington DC area. They will take a lead role in providing strategic leadership, direction and guidance which will result in the successful implementation of an overall account plan, including License Sales and delivery of Tidal Professional Services. Solutions will include Tidal Intelligent Automation, Enterprise Job Scheduling, and Intersperse. Account Manager will own the responsibility for assessing customer requirements, building and proposing customized solutions, and presenting and selling the solution to the customer while driving consensus with key members of the Datacenter Management Team. Overall Objectives and Responsibilities: 1) Increase the penetration of Cisco/Tidal Solutions in the targeted geography(Federal Government and associated Agencies) through: developing a thorough understanding of the Cisco/Tidal portfolio; defining and articulating an Automation and Performance Management Strategy for each targeted account; and partnering with internal and external ecosystem members to expand our reach. At Cisco/Tidal, prospecting is the essential foundation of our success and the expectation will be to provide weekly feedback on your prospecting activities. Ciso/ Tidal Solutions through: developing a thorough understanding of customer requirements through usage of the Value-Selling Tools; positioning our Solution in response to gathering customer requirements; and effectively presenting solution value to customer, and closing the opportunity. 3) Cross-functionally align with the following organizations: * Tidal Product Specialist Overlays * Traditional Cisco Account Managers, along with Cisco CA and Datacenter Overlays, * Our key partners like SAP, Informatica, Cognos, etc. * Channel Partners & Resellers 4) Ability and willingness to travel on a frequent basis Skills Required: * 7+ years of selling Datacenter Software is required. Preferably in the Automation space with Enterprise Scheduling, Run Book Automation, or Performance Management for J2EE Applications, but not mandated. * 7+ Years of specific Federal Sales Experience * 7+ years experience with Solutions Selling or the Sandler Based Sales Methodology * 6+ years of experience in proposal, statement of work and contract development. * 10+ Years of IT Industry experience with emphasis around datacenter products * Must be located in the territory described near Washington DC * Strong track record of successful and consistent Quota Attainment * Strong track record of successful and consistent prospecting via cold calling and partnering related activities * An optimistic, results based focus, while being open to constructive feedback and the ability to take direction. Skills Desired: * Experience working in and leading cross functional teams. * General understanding of legal contracts * Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to present at senior executive level. * Ability to position vision, strategy and industry experience that enables a service led sale.
