Contractor Special Security Officer

Key Role: Manage classified DoD contract programs for Booz Allen and oversee the day-to-day operations of a Sensitive Compartmented Information Facility (SCIF), including maintaining the structural integrity of the SCIF, managing and monitoring all access, and administering appropriate and up-to-date security education. Act as a team player, exhibit flexibility, set priorities, and manage customer expectations in a fast-paced environment. Provide support with clearance processing, visit certifications, document control, and physical security, including alarm response for controlled areas in accordance with the National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual (NISPOM) and applicable Director of Central Intelligence Directives (DCIDs) associated with both collateral and SCI security programs. Work with a team of other industrial professionals and expand knowledge through formal and informal on-the-job training and in-house training, as time permits. Make sound decisions, take independent action, analyze problems, provide focused solutions, and communicate information effectively to various audiences orally and through written communication. Interact with internal and external customers or government security officials to perform security duties, address routine personnel security matters with employees regarding issues, and report preparation, program security access briefings, and other duties, as required. This position may require occasional local travel and is located in Hanover, MD.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

-3+ years of experience with industrial security

-Experience with JPAS and JCAVS

-Experience with using eQIP and EPSQ

-Knowledge of the Personnel Security Investigations process

-Knowledge of the National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual (NISPOM), DCIDs, and ICDs

-Knowledge of Automated Information Systems

-Knowledge of Microsoft Office software

-TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph

Additional Qualifications:

-Knowledge of the DoD classified contract process

-Knowledge of PeopleSoft software

-AA or AS degree in Industrial Security, Business Administration, Law Enforcement, Information Systems, or a similar field preferred; BA or BS degree in Industrial Security, Business Administration, Law Enforcement, Information Systems, or a similar field a plus

-Industrial Security Professional (ISP) Certification

Clearance:

Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; TS/SCI with clearance with polygraph is required.
