The Software developer implements HL7 Projects for the Federal government. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Essential duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Responsible for the integration of CNI Core Competencies into daily functions, including: commitment to integrity, knowledge/quality of work, supporting financial goals of the company, initiative/motivation, cooperation/relationships, problem analysis/discretion, accomplishing goals through organization, positive oral/written communication skills, leadership abilities, commitment to Affirmative Action, reliability/dependability, flexibility and ownership/accountability of actions taken. Provide initial research and evaluate new technologies, prepare design specifications present analysis for recommendations and approvals. Participate in the design, implementation and reviews of subsystems. Review and create documentation and Optimize existing subsystems. Demonstrate analytical, business-planning and problem-solving skills. Ability to identify issues, requirements and opportunities for improvement. Low-level design, construction and integration of subsystems. Be able to work in an extremely fast paced environment, learn and attain new skill sets, meet or beat deadlines on aggressively scheduled projects. Develop code and unit testing scripts. Occasional travel may be required to the Federal offices located at different locations in the Washington DC Metro area. Responsible for aiding in own self-development by being available and receptive to all training made available by the company. Plans daily activities within the guidelines of company policy, job description and supervisors instruction in such a way as to maximize personal output. Responsible for keeping own immediate work area in a neat and orderly condition to ensure safety of self and co-workers. Will report any unsafe conditions and/or practices to the appropriate supervisor and human resources. Will immediately correct any unsafe conditions as the best of own ability. EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE Bachelors degree (B.S.) from a four-year college or university and 7 years of experience is required. Knowledge and experience on Java is required. Experience with projects on HL7 standards (v2 or v3) is required. Good understanding and experience of HTML, XML/XSLT, SOAP, CSS2, DHTML,UML and JavaScript is a must. Knowledge and experience on C/C++ preferred. Experience on the FDA CDISC Standards is preferred. Expert Level knowledge of SQL/PLSQL and database experience in SQL Server and/or Oracle environments is required. Strong and Effective Communication Skills is mandatory. CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATION Drivers License Must be able to obtain Public Trust Clearance therefore requires U.S. permanent residency/U.S. Citizenship.
