Responsible for generating profitable revenue growth through marketing all products and services within a defined geographic territory by focusing 50% of time and effort on retaining and growing revenue with existing customers, and 50% of time focused on identifying and developing new business opportunities. Summary of Key Responsibilities Responsibilities and essential job functions include, but are not limited to the following: * Develop and maintain functional knowledge of the products, services and operations offered and actively participate in product training sessions. * Interact regularly with local management and develop close and cooperative working relationship with operational staff to ensure the customers needs are met. * Schedule and conduct a pre-determined number of face-to-face sales calls as directed by regional or local management team. * Input sales call information into designated sales call software and/or provide sales reports as directed by regional or local management team. * Maintain a pre-determined number of target accounts and demonstrate active attention to those accounts and progress toward closing. * Meet sales threshold/quota as defined. * Work cooperatively with other sales and operational staff to support a team-selling environment. Qualifications Summary of Experience and Education * High School Diploma or GED required. * Bachelors degree preferred; or equivalent combination of work experience and completions of the LDP Program. * Minimum three to five years related experience. * Minimum three years industry experience preferred. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities * Strong understanding of business beyond core functional expertise. * In-depth knowledge of products and services. * Demonstrated knowledge of sales concepts, methods and techniques. * Demonstrated positive, competitive, confident personality with strongly developed persuasive skills and a customer-focused orientation. * Effective negotiation skills. * Must have strong problem solving skills and the ability to think and respond quickly to sales and service issues. * Effective planning and organizational skills. * Effective follow-up skills. * Demonstrated ability to analyze complex administrative details. * Ability to generate complex, error-free documents, reports, charts and graphs (correspondence, spreadsheets, and presentations). * Ability to communicate and interact effectively with multi-functional and diverse backgrounds. * Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. * Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. * Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from management, employees, customers and vendors. * Able to read, write and speak English fluently. * Intermediate level proficiency in Microsoft Office, internet, web-based and job specific software applications. * Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide using units of U.S. currency, weight, volume and distance measurements. Licenses and Certifications * Valid state issued drivers License. * Acceptable driving record. * Proof of current automobile insurance. Travel * Travel is required at least 75 % of the time in this position.
