Our Performance Improvement practice within the FSO helps clients better align their organizations operating infrastructures with their strategies. We have a broad range of capabilities to assist clients with operational improvement, profitability management, finance function activities, and business integration. Our professionals focus on the assessment and redesign of business, risk, and control processes and the refinement of operating models. The goal is to support our clients efforts to make their business units more effective and efficient and, where required, provide services in connection with the remediation and mitigation of process risk. Our experience is also important to the analysis of specific business requirements for alignment with technology architecture, technology infrastructure design, and vendor selection decisions. Responsibilities: Performance Improvement (PI) Managers work directly with clients to transform their business problems into process, organizational, technology and strategy solutions. In addition to managing a team of PI advisors through all phases of the process improvement life cycle, PI Managers lend particular subject matter expertise to the design and implementation phase of each project, helping to give specificity to the appropriate process, architecture, data model, and system design and interfacing requirements with service providers. E&Ys PI professionals team with client business and operations professionals, and/or third party strategic alliances to provide solutions. To deliver these comprehensive services, we are looking for individuals with: • a bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related business discipline and approximately 5 years of related work experience; or a graduate degree and approximately 4 years of related work experience • A minimum of 6 years of experience working in the operations Asset Management sector of the financial services industry, with at least 1 year spent in a managerial business role. • Experience working in the hedge fund, fund of hedge funds, Private Equity, Hedge Fund Administration, Prime Brokerage. • Prior consulting experience is preferred. • Strong Analytical experience and process orientation • Strong knowledge in financial product such as bonds (MBS, ABS, CMBS, etc.) and derivatives (swaps, swaptions, cap/floors, futures, options on futures, etc.) • Experience in implementing fund accounting, trade capturing and/or reconciliation systems such as Advent Geneva, Advent Axys, Eagle, Pace, Beauchamp, Panorama, Infinity, Antares, Fincs, FMC, Sungard Intellimatch, SmartStream TLM or SmartStream Reconciliations. • Experience in developing and executing test plans, test scripts that span the trade lifecycle of fixed income instruments and derivatives to test the functionalities of systems such as Advent Geneva, Eagle, Pace, FMC, Sungard Intellimatch, etc. • Experience in designing and testing reports for the use of traders, management, and middle-office and back-office. • Strong communication, presentation, client servicing and technical writing skills, coupled with a strong interest in further developing operations management knowledge.
