EMA, a family of continuing care retirement communities located in beautiful southern Carroll County, is seeking a full time Benefits Assistant. You will be joining our team of Human Resources professionals to ensure prompt enrollment and termination of benefits as well as providing outstanding customer service to employees with benefits questions. The individual selected for this position will have be a team player who can bring creative thinking and a history of reliability to an established and successful organization. Responsibilities: ? Process all monthly benefits enrollments and terminations in a timely manner. ? Work with the Director of Benefits to coordinate the annual open enrollment process for the entire organization. ? Collaborate with the HR Managers to process the bi-weekly payroll entry. ? Serve as the first line of contact for employees in regards to benefits questions. ? Maintain Workers Compensation logs as required for OSHA compliance. ? Maintain a professional and helpful manner at all times. ? Ensure the confidentiality of information and adhere to HIPAA regulations. ? Maintain high degree of accuracy and timeliness. ? Recommend opportunities for process improvement and discuss with supervisor. ? Other duties as assigned. Qualifications: ? High school degree or equivalent required. Some college preferred. ? Minimum two years related experience working with benefits and benefits processing. ? Superior computer skills. Demonstrated ability to learn and comprehend new online systems. ? Knowledge level of benefits, laws and regulations, systems, and procedures and communicate this knowledge to clients as necessary. ? Experience with Peopletrak preferred. ? Ability to interact with all levels of management and staff. ? Ability to analyze processes and procedures to determine more efficient methods of providing administrative support.
