Facilities Maintenance Technician Location: Fairfield, CT Category: Other Status: Temporary/Contract Reference: US_EN_2_107684_133397 Salary: N/A Posted: October 05,2009 Facilities Maintenance Technician - Entry Level Fairfield, CT Job Description: Entry-level maintenance technician position as part of a team of experienced on-site technicians at CLIENTS corporate headquarters in Fairfield, CT. Approximately 50% of the job is Preventative Maintenance and troubleshooting and 50% is responding to daily work orders and supporting the needs of the Facilities, Engineering and Project Teams. Major Responsibilities: Service and Maintain: Electrical distribution systems including replace and install component fixtures and circuits as required Plumbing and piping as required; including but not limited to bathroom repairs HVAC and other mechanical systems Provide miscellaneous maintenance and repair for all buildings and grounds including but not limited to painting, light bulb replacement, door repair, tile work and carpentry Assist Projects and Engineering in gathering information and field assistance Respond to, report and take corrective action as needed, including off-hour emergencies, 24 hours x 7 days Support outside contractors and service companies when onsite. Meet all EHS and CLIENT Policy requirements to ensure 100% compliance Execute all duties as directed by the Facilities Maintenance Shop Lead and the Fairfield Property Leader Qualifications: Technical education/degree Ability to use power tools Ability to climb ladders and perform lifting related activities and overhead work Basic computer skills Hours 8:15 AM - 5:00 PM Periodically work early shift 6AM - 2:45 PM or late shift 3:15 PM - Midnight shift Ability to perform in a team a team environment Troubleshooting skills Excellent communication skills Preferred: 1-3 years in a similar position Experience with a building control system such as Andover Experience with fire suppression systems Experience with a computerized work order system Ability to read CAD drawings/blueprints EOE If interested, please send resume to Milly Rivera at amelia.rivera@adeccona.com or call 203-325-3544.
