ETL MQSI Developer requires a bachelor's degree in a related area and 3-5 years of experience in the field. At least 3 years experience in role as a IBM MQSI programmer, preferably on large application systems, with strict separation between development, QA and production environments. The responsibilities include gathering requirements, working with business analysts and developing a new functionality, as well as keeping the applications up and running in high-availability production environment. Very experienced in ETL based technology and architecture, specification, design, implementation, quality assurance, and deployment. Strong knowledge of WebSphere IBM Message Broker (MQSI) 6.x and higher. Being able to understand complex routing logic, working with existing application to support the message flow. Optimize the existing application to get better performance and to comply with SDLC cycle. Candidate should be willing to learn new technologies and processes. Technical Skills: - 4 - 5 years solid experience with IBM WebSphere Message Broker. - Understanding of data transformation and message processing with Informatica/AB Initio/Tibco. Willingness to learn new data transformation and messaging tools in a future. - At least two years working knowledge with IBM WebSphere Message Broker 6.x. - Must have hands on experience with software development lifecycle, object-oriented analysis and system design, high competency in application design and development - Ability to work with business specification and convert it into the ETL requirements. - Must have a firm understanding of concepts and technologies such as SOA, Messaging, Transformation Engines, Web Services SOAP, and Data Integration techniques - Solid experience with XML, XSLT. - 3+ years working with RDBMS, Oracle 10g preferred. Proven experience in Database Technology including DDL development, stored procedures, functions and triggers. - Knowledge of scripting languages, Perl, Unix shells - Knowledge of Source Control Systems (SubVersion, CVS) , Eclipse IDE and Ant. Business Skills: - Understanding of financial principals and products. - Strong preference for candidate with experience in equity products including options, corporate actions and trade lifecycle. - Good communication skills, both written and verbal. Be able to work with large existing commercial code bases, providing code integration and developing new modules for the vendor products. Ability to work with distributed, remote teams in different time zones. Ability to complete complex analysis, design, and programming projects in a timely manner.
