Facilities Engineer Open Date :10/21/09 Job Code :0235 Job Title :Facilities Engineer Location :Pittsburgh PA US 15122 Job Type :Full Time Career Level :Experienced (Non-Manager) Education :Bachelors Degree Job Description : Facilities Engineer:This position requires the individual to work successfully in a team environment supporting the facility infrastructure and utility systems. The engineer will develop technical solutions to infrastructure and system problems. The engineer work closely and interface with various internal and external (architectural, engineering, and regulatory compliance) organizations. Communication and interpersonal skills are essential. The individual will prepare specifications and cost estimates for various construction and maintenance projects. Duties include inspection of existing facilities to ascertain their condition and inspection of work in progress to ensure conformance with specifications. Job Requirements : Educational Requirements: * A Bachelors of Science (BS) degree in Facilities, Mechanical, Civil, or Marine Engineering from an accredited college or university. Experience Requirements: * Minimum two years experience in plant, building, or large facility maintenance or utility operation. * Experience with the central utilities (heating boilers, chillers, compresses air, water supplies, or sewer discharge) and plant operations. * Knowledge of industry and building trade practice, techniques, codes, and standards. * Engineering experience in planning, designing, and overseeing the reconfiguration, maintenance, and alteration of utilities, buildings, and other related facility structures. * High level of proficiency with Microsoft Office products and computer aided design (CAD) drafting software.Preference: * Minimum GPA of 3.0/4.0 Category :Engineering
