Title: Business Case/Process/Cost Analysts needed in DC area - must be willing to travel Location: DC: DISTRICT OF COLUMBIA-WASHINGTON Work to be performed: need two total analysts, one for each of the business areas: Support Business Case, and Cost/Benefit Modeling tasks: 1. Economic and business case analysis that identifies innovative alternatives. o Conduct cost and benefit analysis that support action plans and implementation for a wide range of strategic and tactical organizational challenges. o Perform total cost of ownership modeling to assess all costs and revenues associated with BRAC, including cost for reconstruction, long-term operations and maintenance, and personnel (military, civilian, and contract staff). o Conduct economic impact analysis to estimate the indirect job changes in local communities. o Conduct economic impact analysis to estimate local employment, revenue, and profit impacts of different end-use alternatives for sites being transferred to the civilian section that would be generated by BRAC actions. 2. Alignment of business processes with mission and strategy. o Define measures for organizational goals that are outcome-oriented and measurable. o Perform process training to key government staff members. o Conduct process engineering using the DMAIC approach to critical government processes. o Assists in the development of functional programs and materials. o Assists in the tracking and evaluation of on-going operations. o Reviews forms and reports, and confers with management and users about format, distribution, and purpose, and to identify problems and improvements. o Collects, maintains, and processes data. o Assists in the preparation of reports and summaries for use by managers. Basic Qualifications * Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience * Bachelor's degree in business, computer science or related field preferred * One or more years of related work experience, preferably in a consulting environment * Experience working with Catalyst practices and techniques specific to business analysis, modeling, testing, and organizational change * Experience working with company web based repositories and other standard knowledge repositories to locate, reuse and enhance best practice work products and knowledge assets to meet project requirements * Experience working with current business trends (in consulting services and offerings, packaged solutions, and industry best practices) that are relevant to the company and clients Other Qualifications * Strong research, analysis, and problem solving skills * Good communication skills * Ability to work as part of a team * Ability to adapt in a changing environment * Ability to produce work products under pressure and within deadlines * Ability to leverage and adapt functional area experience gained on past project(s) to functional area needs on current project * Willingness to travel * DoD secret clearance preferred Skills desired: Business Case Support * Business case analysis and modeling * Research and data collection * Report writing Process Improvement * Lean Six Sigma * Process mapping * BPR
