We also know that serving our clients and helping them and our people excel demands a diverse range of skills, talent, experiences and backgrounds. a Federal  Practice - Deloitte Consulting LLP Deloitte Consultings dynamic Federal Practice based in Washington D.C. and the surrounding Metropolitan area has opportunities for you to become part of their high-quality team that delivers innovative solutions to key Federal clients in financial management, business process improvement, strategy and operations, information systems development, package implementation, enterprise transformation, business process and applications outsourcing, and a full range of human capital advisory services. a The Financial Management Consultant will perform business financial management consulting duties in support of the mission and projects within the DoD, specifically in support of the Office of Naval Research.a Functionsaand responsibilities include: as a member of a multiple-person project team, monitor/test internal controls incumbent in the clients key financially-impacting business processes in support of the Navys Financial Improvement Program effort;  consultant is expected to quickly adapt to environment and builds personal expertise in a technical area of the clients business; consultant will have daily/weekly contact with lower-level members of the client staff and will present quarterly testing results to higher-level client staff, including a member of the Senior Executive Service (SES) (C-Level Executive); consultant should understand and have the capability to apply basic Strategy and Operations consulting principles. Required Work Location: -Must be willing to commute daily or relocate to Arlington, VA. a aSecurity Clearance: -Applicants should beaeligible to obtain andahold an active U.S. Government Clearance, active Secret clearance preferred a Required Skills: - Bachelors Degree or 6+ years relevant work experience - 2+ years experience in DoD financial management or business transformation - 2+ years experience in a client-facing environment with direct client interaction - Must be proficient  is the MS Office Suite a Preferred Skills: - Strong presentation skills - Business Process Improvement experience a plus - Previous monitoring/testing internal control environments a plus (LSS, A-123, etc). - Previous experience in Navy Financial Management, Defense Financial Management, Research and Development, Working Capital Fund, General Fund environments a plus - Education in Accounting, Finance, Business, other related degrees About Deloitte As used in this document, "Deloitte" means Deloitte LLP and its subsidiaries.
