Responsible for the entire store in the absence of the Store Manager, Assistant Manager, and Customer Service & Sales Manager. Oversees the stock crew. Serves as a role model for customer service and other vital behaviors, and instills this value to all associates. Requirements Effectively uses the in-store computer, scan system, and Telxon. Maintains proper product level and inventory control of grocery shelves and backroom. Completes proper ordering and rotation of product. Keeps grocery shelves and the backroom neat, clean, and organized. Assists the Assistant Manager in achieving Grocery Department shrink goals and training, scheduling, and maintaining a qualified stock crew. Ensures achievement of productivity goals of the stock crew and maintains an evaluation program which measures productivity. Provides coverage for the office as needed. Ability to analyze a situation, identify the problem, and implement a solution. Ability to reach, bend, stoop, and lift up to 70 pounds. Ability to push or pull up to 2000 pounds using a pallet jack. Ability to anticipate sales and order merchandise for the Grocery Department. Ability to use the in-store computer and Telxon. This list is not all inclusive.
