Title: Database Management - Global Database Services Manager Location: NY-New York Global Database Services Manager The Global Database Services Manager will lead a team of DBA's who are responsible for production support, global operations and global database services on a 24 by 7 basis for the database environment in Treasury Services. The manager will be responsible for providing the strategic roadmap for the TSTi production database plant and implementing that roadmap across TSS databases. They will need to maintain a strong relationship with engineering teams and product specialist to insure that advancements in automation, monitoring, configuration management, resolution management and database capabilities are effectively implemented and leveraged to support TSTi databases. They will participate in the definition of standards and policies to support the Global database footprint and will be utilized by the Global DBA community in a sufficiently consistent fashion that Global support is easily achievable. They will work with application and support teams to drive the patching and upgrades of database software throughout the year to insure we are running only the latest certified releases and patch levels. They will insure their team is providing high quality production support, operations and services 24 hours per day for all databases within TSS in an efficient and cost effective fashion.. This role demands a high level of interaction with the clients, management, vendors and other infrastructure teams ensuring that the correct solutions are implemented and that JPMC and TSS needs are met on timely basis. Responsibilities Include: . Develop and implement the strategic roadmap for the operation and support of the database environment for Treasury Services. . Work with architects, engineers, database leads and peers to understand the business requirements and help design, develop and implement solutions that meet the business needs of consistent, scalable and reliable support of our production environment. . Develop and implement policies, procedures, best practices and automation that relate to the effective implementation and operation of a database support organization. . Perform analysis of existing implementation and make recommendations to further improve reliability and supportability with a focus on automation, driving costs down and efficiencies up. . Work closely with Global Technology Infrastructure and solutions engineering groups to help define and on-board best of breed standards, policies and automation for database builds, upgrades, patching and normal troubleshooting of common production problems. . Promote consistency, standardization and efficiency within all TSS database environments, including non production environments. . Develop, lead and train a global team of database administrators and support specialist on the use of new and more advanced automation tools for production support. Stay current on the new technologies which allow extensive automation of operational support as it relates to database technologies. . Lead efforts to develop and improve procedures for P1Sx problem reaction, resolution, escalation and closure. . Track metrics and generate management reports. Technical Skills: . Strong operational and production support background and should have a proven track record of leading a global team and implementing standards, policies and automation across a large and distributed database environment. . Strong incident management capabilities and the ability to understand risks and quickly assess impact and take corrective actions as necessary. . Strong understanding of contact management, automated alerting and callout systems and demonstrated ability to manage those systems for production support. . Solid change management discipline, tracking and reporting ability. Professional Skills: .
