RFS/Home Lending Strategy Associate

Title: RFS/Home Lending Strategy Associate Location: NJ-Iselin Chase Home Lending is seeking a talented professional to work in its Strategy group. Home Lending Strategy consists of one Executive, reporting to the CEO of Home Lending, as well as one junior professional. The Strategy group helps other business leaders capture the extraordinary near-term opportunity in the US mortgage market as well as identify opportunities to position the business for long-term growth. The group supports the CEO, sales and functional leaders on a project basis. Projects topics will be broad and may include evaluating market entry or exit, increasing sales productivity, evaluating and executing acquisitions and partnerships, identifying cost improvement opportunities, or assisting the CEO in otherwise advancing the management agenda. The position will provide an opportunity to learn about and impact the management agenda of Chase Home Lending, get exposure to senior management, and hone problem solving, communications and leadership skills in an environment of active mentorship and coaching. The person filling the role will be a vital contributor to the Strategy group, with specific responsibilities to include: * Conducting financial, operational, and statistical data analysis and modeling * Performing competitor and industry research (leveraging both public and non-public sources) * Synthesizing data and working with other team members to develop recommendations * Conducting internal interviews to qualitatively assess problems * Developing presentation materials for senior management * Qualitative and quantitative transaction evaluation  * Exceptional maturity and personal initiative * High degree of comfort with ambiguity * Outstanding business problem solving and problem structuring skills * Strong modeling and quantitative skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Excel (required) and Microsoft Access (desirable) * An ability to communicate effectively and confidently with senior management (in both oral and written form), including proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint * An ability to work well with and influence colleagues outside of the Strategy group * Three years of work experience in financial services * A background in business problem solving, such as management consulting, and knowledge about the mortgage industry or fixed income markets (desirable) * Merger and acquisition analysis, structuring, and execution (desirable) * BA / BS degree required, MBA desirable JPMorgan Chase is an Equal Opportunity and Affirmative Action Employer, M/F/D/V
