The Top Account Manager is responsible for building strong business relationships with Top Account customers, growing top line sales by building brand awareness and equities and supporting brand standards. CANDIDATES MUST HAVE MAJOR or DEPARTMENT STORE ACCOUNT MANAGEMENT EXPERIENCE!!! The Top Account Manager will be responsible for the following: Developing customer sales strategies by brand to achieve sales goals as established by the Director, Sales and the Regional Sales Manager. Developing and leads regular sales and product presentations to Top Accounts. Meeting and exceeding annual sales goals by meeting targets by brand with specified accounts Increasing territory retail consumption by account by initiatiating and executing strategies by brand, inclusive of Contests and Promotions. Establishing Merchandising program, customized to meet customer needs Building and maintains strong working relationships and leverages brand portfolio with key customers Managing customer assortments by brands and communicates direction to VP Product Coordinating needs with Marketing Department, inclusive of advertised images and pop needs for accounts. Leading project tracking for Marketing Initiatives Providing direction and analysis to Regional Sales Manager inclusive of analysis of account sales, inventory analysis, marketing initiatives and merchandising presentations Interfacing with inventory planner on inventory needs and changes to account assortments, inclusive of POM sales. Interfacing daily with customer service to ensures that customer shipping dates and requirements are met Conducting regular training seminars, minimum of 2 times per year, per account Job Requirements : The ideal candidate will meet the following criteria: Have strong tactical management skills, solid business acumen, organizational savvy Possess a broad understanding of account sales management; good business judgment Strong communication skills; ability to communicate and negotiate effectively at all levels of the organization as well as with customers Strong PC skills, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint Demonstrated track record of success in a similar role, ideally in Optical or Sunglass industry. Department Store Sales is a plus Generally requires 3 – 5 years in sales and understanding of the dynamics of delivering quality communications within a highly decentralized environment Experienced in traveling to accounts for sales presentations Have reliable transportation
