The Ambulatory Care Technician assists in patient care in the outpatient setting, in a support role to the Registered Professional Nurse. Job Qualifications: 1. Ability to read, write, understand and speak English in a clear and concise manner. 2. Visual and aural acuity to assess patients within parameters of job responsibilities. 3. Communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with a wide variety of individuals. 4. Successful completion of the Ambulatory Care Technician Orientation Program offered by the Mount Sinai Hospital. 5. Oriented to consumer satisfaction. 6. Physical stamina and manual dexterity to perform a variety of tasks and skills in area of assignment. 7. Demonstrates the following minimum requirements: a. Licensure: None required. b. Education: High School Diploma or equivalent required Knowledge of biology, chemistry, mathematics and medical terminology preferred c.
