Support Financial Management activities as part of the Deloitte Consulting Strategy & Operations practice. Provide subject matter expertise based on previous experience with tactical financial management processes, as well as CXO-level strategic direction for financial management. Conduct analyses of clients financial management processes and operations, supporting information systems, and leading practices to identify opportunities for improved performance, increased effectiveness and efficiency, and cost reduction within a client organization or business area, and support implementation activities. Manage engagement delivery teams. Interact with client personnel and Deloitte senior leadership in the accomplishment of project objectives . Qualifications * Eight or more years of work experience in Consulting or a related industry, with experience in financial management - specifically budget execution and formulation * At least 4-5 years of direct budget execution experience * 1+ years of experience working with DOD clients * Established team leader and manager with experience advising clients and presenting solutions. Must have previous team lead and/or project management experience. * US government experience required (either through federal employment, military service, or consulting to federal agencies). Preferred Skills * Ability to define scope, develop work plan, and manage to that work plan for work streams within a project * Ability to facilitate client meetings and workshops to define client processes and needs * Prepare and/or present budget execution briefings to senior leaders * Subject Matter Expert (SME) in DOD Budgeting * Ability to comfortably interact with senior level client personnel, including supporting the preparation of and participating in executive briefings * Strong written and oral communications skills * Certified Government Financial Manager (CGFM), Certified Defense Financial Manager (CDFM), Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and/or Project Management Professional (PMP) are a preferred. * Experience developing business cases to demonstrate costs and benefits of recommendations. * Strong analytical skills (e.g., use of Microsoft Excel and/or Access to analyze data) * Strong presentation development and writing skills (e.g., proficient in Microsoft PowerPoint and Word) * Knowledge U.S. federal financial regulations * Familiarity with U.S. government and DoD financial accounting systems Education Requirements * Undergraduate degree in business, finance, accounting, public administration, or a related discipline required. * Graduate degree (i.e., MBA, MPA) preferred.
