Deloitte & Touches services combine competency and experience in the areas of financial reporting, risk management, and compliance. Business Risk The Business Risk ("BR") service area is comprised of professionals that possess competency and experience in the areas of risk management, business and operational processes, internal auditing, financial reporting and other internal controls, and regulatory compliance. Business risk professionals use these skills to assess, analyze, and improve the effectiveness and efficiency of governance, financial and operational control processes, offer recommendations to improve operations, and assist clients with enterprise risk and compliance activities. The Civilian Segment is currently searching for a Accounting/Finance Consultant Location: Washington, DC Performance Profile: - Adhere to the highest degree of professional standards and strict client confidentiality. - This person will work with Deloitte team members to maintain and improve the clients activity-based cost model and produce executive-level financial reports. - This person will work with Deloitte team members to build on a pilot Operations Planning Tool developed during the prior fiscal year. - This person will work with Deloitte team members to evaluate activity and service costs to improve strategic and operational decisions in the client organization. - This person will work with Deloitte team members and key client stakeholders to develop analytical financial reports that facilitate effective business decisions. - Perform other job-related duties as necessary. Position Required Skills: - At least 2 years of Business or financial analysis experience. - At least 1 year of experience in cost management and financial forecasting. - At least 2 years of PowerPoint and Excel experience. Ability to work with complex MS Excel formulas including vlookup, sumif, pivot tables, etc. - Bachelors Degree required. Position Desired Skills: - 1-2 years of management consulting experience, preferably in public services. - Experience with cost modeling (Activity Based Costing) - Accounting experience, Federal Government accounting preferred but not required - Knowledge of SAS Activity Based Management Program (SAS ABM) preferred but not required - Experience with federal shared service providers preferred but not required - Effective interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills. - Excellent analytical skills and experience. - Dynamic "can-do" attitude to execute required tasks autonomously with initial direction - Excellent writing skills - Flexibility to commute to work location in Washington, DC.
