Responsible for delivering and selling a full range of branch banking services to individuals, businesses and municipalities. Has accountability for managing a branch and coordinating the sales and service activities throughout various VNB departments. Responsible for developing and achieving branch plans and goals which include, but are not limited to, deposits, loan originations, fees, sales of investment/trust services and management of local market distribution. * Build and expands customer relationships including the development and implementation of a Business Development Call Program. * Develops and implements strategic business plans which are consistent with VNB corporate direction and result in achieving targeted loans, deposits and fees. * Develops and manages the branch and individual sales processes to include sales skills proficiency and product knowledge. * Participates in Community Reinvestment Act (CRA) activities and programs as well as in industry trade groups, business associations and charitable organizations to enhance the companys image. * Trains, develops, recruits and appropriately assigns staff to attain staffing mix and employee objectives. * Ensures that the branch is in compliance with Bank policies, all legal and regulatory requirements, Code of Conduct and Service Quality Standards. * Supports the Branch Service Managers role as branch internal sales and service coordinator. * Manages the performance and development of employees within the branch which result in high performance, a team environment and positive employee morale. * Accepts and executes other duties and responsibilities as assigned. * Occasional lifting up to 25 pounds. Regular work hours and days assigned including Saturdays and Sundays. Evening hours as needed for networking and training. Required Skills * Ability to prioritize, organize, and delegate assignments. * Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations. * Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. * Must have good verbal, written, and interpersonal skills. * Basic PC Skills including Microsoft Word and Excel. Required Experience * High school diploma or general education diploma (GED) required and at least three years sales/business development experience. * Experience working in a bank, credit union or other financial institution preferred. * Bachelors degree (BA/BS) from four-year college or university preferred.
