Wyle Information Systems currently has an opening for a Senior Technical Writer. Candidate will provide proofreading, editorial, and writing support. May determine methods and procedures to be used on new assignments and supervise or provide guidance to other personnel. The candidate will work with multiple project teams to prepare technical documentation, review presentations, including but not limited to: project management plans, requirements documents, test plans and procedures, test reports, training materials, user guides, quality assurance plans, standard operating procedures, and service level agreements. Will create, update and enhance documentation. Candidate will adhere to format, content and style guidelines, giving consideration to usability and ensuring accuracy, consistency and quality. Analyze requirements of task/project to determine types of publications needed. Ensure accuracy and completeness of technical documentation. Candidate shall maintain all project folders in designated collaboration tool and upload all required project documentation to project folders. Individual will exercise independent judgment within generally defined practices and policies in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions. Contributes to the development of the organizations goals and objectives. Interacts daily with Program Manager and Federal customer. Candidate should have experience managing documentation lifecycle processes - including requirements collection, team assignment, document creations and production, review, publication, and CM. Education/Experience: Bachelors degree in Liberal Arts, English or Journalism. Four years of specialized writing and editing technical documents OR Associates degree in English, Journalism, or Technical Writing with six years general experience in technical writing within the Information Technology field. Must be proficient with all MS Office suite programs including Project. Able to communicate clearly both orally and in writing, and capable of producing a variety of technical reports. Must be detailed oriented, self-starter who works with little supervision and able to coordinate multiple activities to ensure successful results. Knowledge of ITIL/ITSM, and PMI methodologies. Candidates must also be able to submit to and complete the appropriate background investigation and security screening via the Standard Form (SF) 85P, Questionnaire for Public Trust Positions.
