Information SOA Architect Bethesda MD Long Term Contract/Contract to hire Position involves supporting a government agency that is responsible for many large research and clinical initiatives. Be part of a team that is developing a major service-oriented architectural framework for a complex set of applications and databases, both at the enterprise-wide as well as the solution levels. Job will require complex analysis of issues related to business processes, information requirements, application behavior, standards, and interface syntax, while evaluating, modifying, and implementing new architectural methodologies and notations. The ideal candidate enjoys an intellectual challenge and is able to discover and model complex abstractions. Information architect is the job designation for a person who practices information architecture, a person dedicated to organizing and structuring content for access on an intranet web site. A relatively new discipline with as yet no official certification process, an information architect takes into account issues concerning content, users and business context as they impact the information design. Developing a taxonomy is one of the functions an information architect would undertake. The information architect may specialize in thesaurus design, metadata and classification. Specialists in classification are sometimes referred to as taxonomists
