Senior Java/J2EE Developer

One of SGAs financial clients is seeking a detail oriented senior Java/J2EE developer for a 6 - month consultant position to be located in New York, NY. The candidate will need to demonstrate strong communications skills and be able to work independently and within a team. The ideal candidate is expected to have the following technical skills: 5+ years of hands-on development experience in Java 3+ years of hands-on development experience in J2EE Application Server, EJB, Hibernate, Spring MVC, Struts, JSP, JSF, Servlets and Portlets. Experience with SOA and WebServices Minimum of 5 years of SQL experience 6-9 years experience in Information Systems. 5-6 years experience with Java /Web Development Excellent communication skills and attention to detail Core competencies in development with front-end technologies such as HTML, DHTML, CSS, JSP, AJAX, Web UI and JavaScript considered necessary. Experience with MAVEN 2 is a plus. Experience with Portal servers is a plus This resource Day to day responsibilities will include: Develop quality programs/scripts/procedures/components in support of the business requirement, utilizing the appropriate technology for each instance, and following the group standards and/or industry best practices as applicable Participate in design discussions and produce quality design artifacts. Perform unit and system testing on technical components to ensure they meet business requirements. Testing will include those elements developed by individual, team members, or other technology groups. Communicate effectively with management, providing timely status and project reports as required. Duration 6 months to 1 year.
