Responsibilities: Delivery & Engagement Management: * Manage the day-to-day operational and tactical aspects of multiple or large scale system integration and network infrastructure projects from proposal to implementation. * Work with executive level clients, vendors, and operations staff to ensure solutions fit within global architecture and integrate with the clients future business direction. * Manages day-to-day client interaction and expectations for multiple or large-scale projects. * Manage and foster productive client relationships. * Communicates effectively with clients to identify needs and evaluate alternative business solutions. * Continually seeks opportunities to increase customer satisfaction and deepen client relationships. * Creates and executes project work plans and revises as appropriate to meet changing needs and requirements. * Effectively applies our methodology and enforces project and documentation standards. * Prepares for engagement reviews and quality assurance procedures. * Minimizes our exposure and risk on project. * Manage client expectation throughout the project re: scope, budget, billing, schedules and timeframes * Act as a trusted advisor and provide counsel and solution options to clients relative to project issues. Technical Vision * Lead the research, evaluation, solution development, and proof of concept solution development to enhance practice offerings. * Possesses a thorough understanding of our service offerings, technical preferences, and technical direction. * Possesses the expert knowledge to identify opportunities for change and the ability to convey the need for change. * Builds expert knowledge in our industry and conveys knowledge to others. * Provide applicable technical leadership and guidance to project teams * Understand client requirements and act as the technical point of contact for client issue resolution * Motivate and inspire other Align Engineers * Drive strategic, internal initiatives as needed Business Development * Help drive revenue growth and increased profitability in the practice including Account Management, Professional Networking, Partner Relationship Management. * Works in conjunction with the our sales team to follow up on sales leads within practice. * Lead and contribute to sales engineering efforts through RFP assessment, proposal development, project scoping, technical presentations, and cost-benefit analysis. * Assists in the identification of strategic accounts. * Effectively conveys our message in both written and verbal business development discussions. * Grows long-term relationships with clients and capitalizes on equity and partnership opportunities. * Identifies partnership opportunities and capitalizes on "add-on" sales opportunities across projects. Practice Management * Recognized thought leader within the practice, responsible for evaluating and anticipating market and industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies to help design and develop proprietary project approaches and methodologies. * Help contribute to the Integrate IT knowledgebase, and intellectual capital. * Help oversee client engagements and ensure deliverables are met across the practice. * Assist with marketing material updates, workflow and process documents; product set and pricing models as required. * Exhibit the leadership characteristics and assist with professional development of collegues within the practice. * Implements engagement review and quality assurance procedures in accordance with our methodology to ensure profitable and successful execution of consulting engagements. * Supports profitability, revenue, margins, bill rates and utilization goals within the practice. * Understands our pricing model and billing procedures. * Drive continuous enhancement of our Integrate IT consulting methodologies and documented best-practices. * Effectively communicates relevant project/practice information to superiors and peers in other practices. * Evokes creative and innovative thinking from team members while helping them to bring their ideas and career plans to fruition. * Helps to determine new, creative ways to employ teams on projects and distribute responsibilities. * Works across practice to share lessons learned and best practices. * Pursues excellence in all aspects of business. Qualifications: Ideal Candidates will Possess the Following Skills and Experience: * A minimum of 10 years of professional experience in a Network and Systems Engineering role. * 3+ years of IT Professional Services / Systems Integrator / VAR industry experience. * 2+ years of large-scale IT project management experience. * 2 years of recent solutions architect or sales engineering experience, with the ability to write SOWs and RFPs. * Extensive network infrastructure and distributed computing solutions architecture experience. * Advanced, well rounded technical and product knowledge (Cisco, Microsoft, Dell, EMC, HP, IBM, VMware) in the areas of Network Infrastructure, Security, Distributed Computing, Unified Communications, Storage and Virtualization. * Strong client relationship management experience with the proven ability to position the value of services, recognize additional revenue opportunities, leverage relationships, and upsell accounts. * Ability to support business development initiatives and effectively create and deliver technical proposals and presentations to customers. * Superior consultative skills and customer focus. * Able to independently discuss the ramifications and design decisions for Enterprise-level IP Networks and Systems. General Requirements: * A Bachelors Degree (BS) in Computer Science, Information Systems, Electrical Engineering or a related technical discipline is strongly desired * Competent designer of large systems solutions able to drive and directly support delivery efforts * Prior Technology Consulting or Professional Services experience within the Financial Services, Life Sciences, or Consumer Products verticals * In-Depth integrated product knowledge of the Cisco Product Line and Core Routing & Switching technologies and best practices * Practical knowledge of IP Communications and Cisco Unified Communications. * At least 2 years of experience evaluating and selecting products and technologies that best align technology solutions with clients’ business requirements. * Practical knowledge of Microsoft Windows Architecture - SQL Server, Active Directory (AD) and Exchange. * Advanced knowledge of VMware, SAN, SharePoint and related technologies is desired. * Able to provide technical mentorship * Strong supervisory skills and ability to coordinate team efforts * Experience researching new vendor technologies and evaluating potential client applications. * Understands basic revenue models, P/L, and cost-to-completion projections and makes decisions accordingly. * Current Cisco Certified Internetworking Expert (CCIE) certification is ideal. * PMP, MCSE, or VCP certification is beneficial.
